saying goodbye

Over the years we have shared many a renovation story here on our Bespoke Letterpress blog, our lovely little queenslander was not quite so lovely when we moved here back in 2007. Over the years we have turned its lovely old bones, into something so much, much more lovelier making our nest, our home. 

It is bittersweet now, that as we move onto our next adventure, our journey here comes to an end. This house has so many happy memories, so much love, so much of so much, I just don't have the words to express how much this house and its journey has meant to us. Every little corner I look at, every VJ on the wall, every piece of fretwork, every cornice, every little tile, power point and light switch, I look at it all and remember, all that love, so, so much love.

So now our much loved up home is for sale, it is sad and it is sweet at the same time. Sad that our journey here is done, but sweet that someone else can now love our home just as much as we have. I am bound to shed many a tear. As one journey ends, another is just beginning...

some big news and bespoke letterpress pop up warehouse sale!

Hello friends, so some pretty big news from us here at Bespoke today.

The past few months have been quite a crazy blur here in the studio, and one of the biggest reasons, is that from January 2013 Mr H and I will be packing the house and the studio (and all 6 tonnes of cast iron machinery) and making the big move back down south to NSW. We have greatly adored our last five years here in Brisbane, it has been our home, our base, our love. It is going to be very, very sad to say goodbye, I am getting teary just typing about it.

So for my beloved Bespoke, this means that we won't just have our Brisbane studio and most beautiful team, but we will now also have a second base from Bowral, in the Southern Highlands of Sydney. My beautiful beautiful Brisbane girls will be continuing our Brisbane base. All of our printing will occur from our new Bowral studio but our Brisbane team will continue all their amazing work from up here in sunny Queensland.

The beautiful girls who stand beside me, and make Bespoke happen, are the absolute treasures in life, and I know that with them by my side (albeit a little further the usual) that Bespoke here in Brisbane, is in the very, very best of hands. I am truly honoured by their support.

Our new Southern Highlands studio, will be up and ready from February 2013, and our new studio, means new opportunities - so if you know anyone who you think may like to come join our Southern Highlands team, all the details can be found here.

So as we prepare to pack boxes, we have decided to go out of Brisbane with one big last Hurrah!

For one day only, we are having a monster Letterpress Pop up Warehouse sale. To be held at the gorgeous Jubilee Hall, in Bardon, Brisbane. We will have our entire stationery range with some huge never before seen discounts, as well as lots of second stock at bargain basement prices, and lots of clearance sales across both our Christmas, and every day ranges. Come join us and maybe enjoy a sweet treat or two and some of our famous Bespoke summer fruit punch!

bespoke letterpress 2012 range

We've spent many months here in the studio, designing and printing for Christmas, and we thought it was time to show you our 2012 christmas range!

This year, as well as some old favourites, we have also got some new christmas cards available as singles, or in 6 packs, as well as some lovely new gift tags available in 8 packs. For the first time this Christmas, we also have a whole new range of mini cards available as single cards, or also in lovely boxed 6 packs! All of our christmas range has been hand printed on our antique printing presses, on beautifully lush 300gsm 100% cotton rag paper.

We have also got new Japanese Washi Tapes in stock just in time for Christmas, and this year we are quite smitten with the silver stripe tape, teamed up with our Hearts and Scallops double sided gift wrap - just lovely!

Hello brisbane friends, some news for you - tomorrow we will be attending the annual Goma Christmas design market! This is such a lovely market, full of creative Brisbane designers, held in the forecourt of the gallery, surrounded by the beautiful Gallery store! Adelaide, we are coming your way!

You can find us this weekend at Bowerbird Bazaar at the Adelaide Showgrounds. We will be next door to our good friends and fellow Brisbane locals Paper Boat Press, so do come along, say hello, admire Kylie's gorgeous ceramics, touch and feel some of our lovely letterpress and come join us for a good time!
