peta & kamahl :: wedding stationery

Recently we showed you some behind the scenes photos of a delightful wedding we have recently completed. Today we are happy to show you the final result!

Peta & Kamahl are flying from the UK back to Australia for a classical vintage styled wedding organised by the fabulous Victoria at The Little White Wedding Co this December. To suit their theme we designed a sweet invitation suite based upon a vintage motif. We repeated this motif as a blind impressed background and then coupled this with classic and elegant typography. Printed on ivory 100% cotton paper, we then added a touch of romantic glamour with a dusty pink envelope liner. So sweet!!

snippets and oldwares

Goodness, its thursday already. Lovely blog followers we apologise over and over again. Our poor blog has been quite neglected of late!!

We have a mountain of wedding designs to share with you, but before we overkill our blog with love again I wanted to share a few images from our weekend birthday escape to the Bangalow Hinterland in the Byron region. I was spoilt something silly and we had a gorgeous few days of no internet and phone reception. We trawled all the antique shops, junk shops, and oldwares yards that we could find. Coupled with some fabulous food and much relaxation it was a wonderful birthday surprise!

My favourite find was Heaths Old Wares store in Bangalow. We stocked up on timber boxes, old broken timber rulers (love love love), old Cottees bottles for vases and vintage timber scrabble pieces. Keep an eye out for them in our styling of our new products we will be launching shortly! If you can't make it to Bangalow (although its well worth the trip!!) you can also visit their blog for all sorts of vintage goodness here.

a getaway

Thankyou for all your sweet messages about our studio photos, you are all the sweetest.

Today we are signing off for the week a little early. Mr H is taking me on a little Birthday trip away so we will see you all next week.

Oh an by the way, many of you tell me in emails to give Ruby Tuesday a pat from you. So I thought it was about time to show you that we do actually pass these snippets of love along, and she certainly appreciates them!

See you again next week!

a visit from studio sixty

The funny thing about having a blog is that a lot of people you have never met, start to learn a lot of things about you. One thing around here which we have kind of kept to ourselves, other then the odd hand shot working the press is really who we are and what we look like. I guess you could say we are pretty shy around here.

But a few weeks ago we had a visit from the lovely Jason from the fabulous Sally & Jason team at Studio Sixty pop around to visit us in the studio. Being the shy things that we are, we didn't make the best models to shoot, but luckily Jason kept us entertained, and together with Ruby Tuesday he managed to take some shots of us in action printing in the studio.

We are so amazed with the end results and we would like to thank Sally & Jason for getting in touch with us and taking time of their busy photography schedule to come pay our wee little studio a visit.

Studio Sixty have shot some of our favourite wedding clients previously and also offer portrait and commercial work - talk about clever little bees!

You can also check out more photos from their visit to our studio here.

Thanks Jason & Sally!

thankyou melbourne!

Lovely Melbourne, how wonderful you are.

Walking up towards the huge spance of Shed 4 in the Docklands, you never could have imagined that one shed could house so much amazingness inside. 150 fabulous designers from right across the country, fabulous bands who made us want to break out into a dance many a time, fabulous food thanks to the amazing BeatBox kitchen, superb weather (quite fabulous seeing as back here in Brisbane it has been flooding up a storm) and many gorgeous shoppers who stopped by, said hello and walked away with some letterpress loveliness. Thankyou Melbourne, we loved visiting you.

And as always, to the Finders Keepers Girls thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, another amazing event superbly done!

We are buzzing with excitement here in the studio. We have packed up five enormous boxes of letterpress goodies and will be making our way south for the first ever Melbourne Finders Keepers this weekend! This is our first ever time selling in Melbourne, so we are terribly excited to be able to show our wares, and launch some brand new products as well!

A huge curated shed full of independent designers, contemporary artists, and designers of original and creative goods we can't wait to get back amongst the Finders Keepers crowd again. If your in Melbourne, make sure you pop by, with 150 stallholders, it is going to be one amazing event!

kerry & thomas :: wedding stationery

We have such a back log of weddings which we have produced of late to show you - and the first is a stunning design we recently completed for Kerry & Thomas. They are having their wedding at the Quarantine Station at Manly and we wanted to give their invitations a relaxed, yet sophisticated design based upon tropical beach living.

The pattern was designed based off beach cane furniture, and we coupled this with elegant and classic typography. Finished off with printed and lined envelopes, we love the absolute wow factor of this invitation!
