On a particularly cold New York winters day we strolled through Central Park, watched the ice skaters and did a little dance to warm ourselves up. Such an amazing place, have you been?

Its chilly winter here in New York, dark days with just the hint of sunlight peaking above the towering heights. Soon we head to warmer pastures, so we are off to embrace our woolly gloves and clam chowder for just a little longer. xox

a summer holiday

Lovely blog friends, the studio is now officially closed for our summer holiday and are headed off to lands far and much colder away. We will be back printing in the studio from the 8th of February, and maybe if your lucky we might pop into our wee blog here and there and keep you updated on our travels!

yazmin & shane wedding stationery

Remember our lovely green from the other day? Well it was for this custom designed letterpress wedding invitation set we have just completed for Yazmin & Shane who are getting married here in Brisbane next May.

Featuring two strengths of botanical green (the lighter green is 1/8th intensity of the darker green) our brief from this sweet couple was for a simple, relaxed style which reflected their green wedding styling, favourite Chrysanthemum flowers and the slight reference to vintage aeroplanes!

We used the combination of an elegant vintage script typeface coupled with a simpler uppercase serif for their body text. Printed on our 100% cotton rag stocks in white we completed the packaged with lined envelopes in a simple green pinstripe. So lovely!

Hope your having a lovely weekend and start of the new year! We are madly printing full steam in the studio before we shut down on the 5th for our annual summer holiday. Don't you just love todays blue we mixed? Its really is such the most happiest colour!

a moment of love

Walking through Wellington NZ yesterday, on a brief two night little visit we walked past these woollen love hearts, entwined so carefully around the wire fence of an empty commercial plot. I wondered if they were stories of lost love, found love or to show that love can be found in the most unremarkable of places?
