Sydney Finders Keepers this weekend!

 

It's the summer Sydney Finders Keepers market this weekend and we couldn't be more excited!! The amazing Australian Technology Park will play host again to this fabulous event. We are having a super sized letterpress feature stall packed to the brim with all sorts of extra lovely stationery!

If you are after some beautiful, fun, creatively made Christmas presents, this is the place to find them! At the Finders Keepers market however there is certainly more to do than just shop, the market also features some pretty amazing live music and yummy food & drinks served up by some fabulous food trucks and the lovely farmers lane stalls.

If you're at the markets, don't be shy - we would love for you to say hello!

Dando Photography - Albert Percy

Hello friends, I have been itching to share this blog post with you for so very long! 

Back in September we welcomed our first baby Albert Percy into the world. The time has simply flown by in a beautiful, crazy blur ever since then. The days and the nights roll into a surreal mixture of love, joy and also the scary dauntingness of raising this tiny little creature. He is growing faster then we can keep up, and I am so beyond in awe at how fast this time has gone.

Whilst pregnant it was one of those things in the back of my mind, that we should probably think about newborn photography. But as the months rolled by, and everything else which is crazy hectic in the lead up to his arrival, it was one of those things which just got pushed to the back of my mind. But as soon as his tiny littleness entered this world, I wanted nothing more then to capture these fleeting moments forever. And I am so beyond glad, that in stepped Erin of Dando Photography.

Having known each other from back in our Brisbane days, we are now both New South Walers, with Erin slightly further south from us, down in Canberra. Once our little man was in the world, Erin so kindly offered to drive up to us in Bowral, here in the Southern Highlands, to capture his tininess for us. I cannot tell you how thankful, and in awe, of this beautiful girl I am.

I could tell you a hundred lovely things about the day that Erin came to visit, but hopefully these photos can tell the story better then I can.

This Christmas we wanted to design and letterpress print some truly special cards - something which you would send to your nearest and dearest, to someone you know who would truly appreciate some beautiful Christmas joy in the mail.

So we designed two stunning square Christmas cards which feature beautiful hand lettering and hand drawn illustrations which were printed using a combination of hot foil and letterpress on our 100% cotton paper in a larger square format!

These two very special cards were a complete joy to design and print and we hope that you love them as much as we do!

This year, we have expanded upon our Christmas range, and have introduced a new sized greeting card. Slightly smaller then our regular cards (measuring 120x87mm), these adorable greeting cards are still perfect for mailing, or super sweet with a beautifully wrapped gift!

With gorgeous hand lettering, these have been hot foil printed on Helga our 1972 beast of a hot foil converted letterpress printing press, on 100% cotton tree free paper. At $4.95 each these have been selling like hot cakes. Grab them while they last from our online shop.

We are very excited to let you know that our Bespoke Letterpress Christmas shop is now open! Full to the brim with lots of lovely letterpress Christmas cards, gift tags, double sided wrapping papers, twines and ribbons! This year we have letterpress printed in a range of red, gold and mint inks, and have combined this with super lovely shiny gold foil. Each year we sell out of our Christmas range - so its best to get in early while stocks are available!!

Melbourne Finders Keepers this weekend!

  

We are bursting with excitement as we are off to Melbourne this weekend for the ever fabulous Summer Melbourne Finders Keepers markets! The beautiful Royal Exhibition Building will play host again to our all time favourite market and we cannot wait to be amongst the all the talented independent designers and artists and share our new letterpress goodies with you all!

All our bags are packed to the brim and we are so excited to introduce our brand new Christmas range for 2013 at the market! We wont be officially launching many of these new products until later in the year, so its a great chance to grab some new letterpress goodies hot off the press!

Conversations with Creative Women : Book feature

Here at Bespoke, we are beyond chuffed that Alischa Herrmann the founder of Bespoke Letterpress will be featured in the soon to be released Conversations with Creative Women : Volume Two, by the gorgeous Tess McCabe.

Announced for pre release on Monday via the wonderful The Design Files blog, The second instalment of this highly successful series, presents the stories of creative Australian women and Alischa is honoured to be featured amongst 15 other incredibly talented and dynamic creative women. It is beautifully designed both inside and out features collaborations with a wonderful bunch of illustrators and designers.

The book is now available for pre-ordered here, and will be officially released online on the 15th of November. Available as a limited edition of 1200 copies, the first volume sold out in record time, so no doubt this second volume wont last for long!

A huge thank you to Tess for your time, effort and fabulous work - we cannot wait until the 15th of November to be inspired by this beautiful book! Counting down the days already....!

a new arrival

Some very special news today... Alischa and Hayden are thrilled to announce the arrival of baby Albert Percy Herrmann who arrived last week on the 11th of September at Bowral District Hospital weighing 7pounds 9oz and is perfectly healthy, and utterly gorgeous in every little way.

A big thank you to all the well wishes we have received and a very big thank you to our Bowral and Brisbane studio teams who are working hard to allow us enjoy some special time with our new arrival. We are completely in love!

 Here at Bespoke, we are big fans of the fabulous quartely Artisan magazine - a free iPad magazine which features the most beautiful styling, gorgeous finds and inspiring stories designed and produced right here in Australia. 

Issue 5 has just been launched - with a gorgeous story on a truffle farm, handmade shoe makers and a beautiful video on making your very own chutney! A sneak peek into our Bowral studio!

 Today we thought we would share with you a little sneak peak into our Bowral studio - We are settling into our country life and its so lovely to see the studio all coming together!! 

You can see our post here about the renovation works earlier this year when we moved into our old 1920's cottage, and a huge thank you to the gorgeous Samantha Mackie for taking these beautiful photos, we loved having you visit!

Country Style Magazine Feature

 

Earlier this year it was a dream come true to have the Country Style Magazine team in our new country Bowral studio - shooting and interviewing us for their wedding special in their June 2013 publication!

Hopefully better late then never, A big thank you to Country Style for your gorgeous story and photos - it was such a delight to have you in the studio, and such a joy to be featured in your beautiful magazine! 

Moving our studio to the country earlier this year, was such a big and scary move for us - but it was most certainly one of those "pinch me" moments, with a fair amount of girly squealing to see us featured on our all time favourite country living magazine!

Bespoke double sided gift wrap!

Earlier this year we introduced four new designs in our double sided gift wrap collection - and we have realised that we have never even shown you them - What bad bloggers we have been!!

In our new(ish) range we have our floral bouquet with neon diamonds, Watercolour Blue Floral with peach cubes, Blackbirds with mustard chevron and Forest fruits with neon arrows.

Each of our gift wraps have been printed here in Australia on heavyweight 100% recycled environmentally friendly papers and measure 700 x 490mm in size.  Each individual design can be purchased as a 3 pack for $15 or an economical assorted 6 pack for $25.95.

Also a big thank you to the ever lovely Paper Crave did a little story on our gift wrap and tags last week, we are glad you love our wraps as much as we do!
