back in the studio

Hello friends! Just a quick little message to say that I have missed you! Thankyou for your lovely emails and messages. It certainly hasn't been a fun coupled of weeks being unwell, but I was very well cared for and got a lot of rest. Plenty of vegetmite sandwiches are the trick!

Today I am back in the studio catching up on two weeks worth of emails (eek!), getting back in touch with our gorgeous wedding couples and also planning some treats instore for this week. Above is a little sneak peak - stay tuned for lots of christmas goodies coming this way!

In the meantime she asked me to let you know that we will be attending this weekends Finders Keepers in Sydney. I will be there, and Alischa will attend for a while. Her little sister will also be helping us out so make sure you pop by and say hello. We have lots of christmas letterpress items and a few new treats instore.

shalon & stuart :: wedding invitations

Today we have a sweet invitation set to show you which we recently completes for Shalon & Stuart. Inspired by a design we created for another couple, we personalised this invitation with black and ivory ink on ivory stock, with printed and lined envelopes and a sweet little gift card. Just lovely!!

finding beauty

The smallest things around here give me such joy - such as the way Herbie stacks our envelopes. His printing arms whoosh in their circular motion to drop the printed finish piece into a not so perfect pile. It seems so fitting that the pile isn't perfect - its a bit like letterpress itself, each one an individual, a hand crafted piece of love, each with their own stamp of personality. I love these wonky piles of paper - they bring me so much joy.

laura & tim :: wedding stationery

Another gorgeous invitation suite we have been waiting to show you is that which we created for Laura & Tim. You may remember their save the date cards we created for them earlier this year? For their wedding stationery we further expanding upon their illustrative graphics and created a very striking and contemporary, yet still vintage inspired design. Featuring lined envelopes, one colour invitations and reply cards with envelopes we love the fabulous combination of black ink printed on our 100% cotton white stocks. Just divine.

kathleen & marko :: wedding stationery

We have had this delightful invitation we have been wanting to show you for some time! Kathleen and Marko are getting married next March at a Winery with a gorgeous and rustic chapel on site. Their brief was for something classic yet chic, to be formal and yet still contain vintage elements. With a black and white theme we chose for a blind impressed vintage flourish background, combined with classic, yet striking black typography printed on our 100% cotton stocks.

By keeping their stationery suite quite simple with non printed envelopes and the inclusion of reply details on the invitation (saving the need for additional printing), this invitation shows that you are able to keep to budget, yet still achieve a beautiful letterpress result.

Thanks Kathleen & Marko - it was a joy to work with you both!

calm amongst the storm

The last week in the studio certainly has not been our best! A massive technological failure saw all our systems and communication down for an entire week. Finally we are back up and running today - phew. If you are waiting on an email or artwork from us we will be sorting through these as quickly as we possibly can.

Amongst the storm of the past horrible week we did have two beautiful moments which kept us smiling. The first we took Miss Ruby Tuesday off to the dog park to escape the stress and manic nature of the studio. Our dog park is quite a blessing - it is about 5 acres of wooded parkland's and is really quite divine. We were quite excited as its not often we get a chance to visit. Mind you, our excitement didn't compare to Ruby's who did 19 wee's in 40 minutes, now that's excitement.

The second lovely thing to happen was a surprise visit from my parents. When they are in Sydney and we are in Brisbane, it certainly was a lovely and very happy surprise indeed!
