Hello friends, goodness me, its been quite a while between blog posts. This year has just been speeding by and we can't seem to keep up!

In January we made the big move from our home and studio in Brisbane, and 2 containers, 2 cars and a truck full of presses later we ended up at our new abode here in the Southern Highlands. It sure has been quite the adventure! The print studio is now housed in a 3 bedroom double brick cottage which we are slowly converting over into a fully functioning print shop & studio. We are based on just on 1 acre of lovely country land, and our house is down the back seperated from the studio. Although, before we could even move into the studio we had to make some pretty big changes - the first being we needed a big enough hole to get the presses inside of the building!

After some pretty stressful days - it seems that knocking into a main structural wall of a 90 year old brick building isn't for the light hearted - coupled with the slowest builder ever, we ended up with a great big hole in which the presses could be ever so gently placed through!

After some quite frightful moments with our presses lifting and heaving them with cranes and forklifts, we eventually got them on their way into the studio. (A very big thank you for my ever patient dad!).

And finally, they were safely placed into their new locations - a four of them. We had big concerns about our 90 year old Baltic Pine floors coping with the weight of 6 tonnes worth of presses - but thank fully they survived to live another day!

We then were on a mission to get our big hole all closed back up again - I found the above french doors for a bargain price of $88 on ebay. Although they were not quite as pretty as the above photo - they were covered in My Little Pony Stickers and a frightful shade of dirty cream - but after much loving they are now looking like they have always been there. We had to convince the builder to make and install the glass transom above the doors and are so happy that we persevered as it allows so much more light into the studio! We also installed some new lights and gave the studio a new touch of paint (one again, thanks parents!!).Recently we added a hit of red to our front door (many thanks to my little sister for her red choosing assistance!) and our little country studio is slowly starting to take shape! We have still got quite a bit of work to be done - but we have been giving a few sneak peaks over on our instagram, so please do come follow us - we seem to be much better instragramers then bloggers these days (poor blog, please don't take it personally).So while the studio has been taking shape, we have still been as busy as ever! Recently we launched a whole heap of new stationery products (you can find them here), we have been working with some amazing wedding clients, and our little team has continued to grow with 2 new wonderful team members who we will introduce you to shortly!Our Brisbane team still continues to do all their amazing work up in Queensland and I am so in love (is that strange?) and thankful for their amazing job and efforts - they have helped so much in the transition to opening up our second southern studio and they do such an amazing job up in Sunny Brisbane. They are beyond incredible, I could gush all day, such love.So from our new/old studio in Bowral - Hello!! How have you all been?xox

Melbourne Finders Keepers this weekend!

Hello friends! Its been a long time between blog posts here - we have so many wonderful things to share with you, but amongst all the busyness of the studio, finding time to blog is always the hardest thing to do. I promise we will try harder!!

We did however want to let you know that this Friday night and Saturday is the amazing Finders Keepers markets at the Royal Exhibition Building and we will be there with all our letterpress loveliness once again. Please do pop by and say hello and be the first to see many of our new letterpress goodies!

christmas love

As we sign off for the year, we want to wish you all, our dear friends, a very magical Christmas full of lots of love, laughter and much merriment.

It has been such a big year here in the studio, and as we wind down the presses for a much needed Christmas break, we want to thank you for all your support and encouragement which you have showed us via our online store, our retail stores at our market events, or most recently at our Brisbane Pop Up Sale (and a big thank you for those who travelled from far and wide to attend!) - I am eternally humbled by your support and love, the team and I would like to give our heartfelt thanks for helping us bring letterpress back alive.

To all our wedding clients, what a joy to design and print for you this year. We love weddings and one thing we love the most, at some magical point during the months we work upon your stationery suites, you go from being clients, to being our friends, and we thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.

So now as the Christmas ham awaits, Our Brisbane studio is now officially closed for the Christmas season and will reopen on the 7th of January 2013. And our new Southern Highlands of Sydney studio will be opening its doors from the 4th of February 2013. Until then, we wish you much love, joy and Christmas love.

Brisbane Pop Up Warehouse sale this Sunday!!

Brisbane, the time has come for our last Hurrah!!!! We are holding a letterpress Shindig at the gorgeous weatherboard Jubilee Hall, at Bardon this coming Sunday!

We will have so many letterpress goodies with crazytown prices, plus lots of sweet treats from the kitchen, our famous Bespoke Fruit Punch and so much letterpress loveliness! It will be warehouse sale, with lots of fabulous pricing, but more so a very special day filled with friends, laughter and love - we really hope that you can make it!

Over the years we have shared many a renovation story here on our Bespoke Letterpress blog, our lovely little queenslander was not quite so lovely when we moved here back in 2007. Over the years we have turned its lovely old bones, into something so much, much more lovelier making our nest, our home. 

It is bittersweet now, that as we move onto our next adventure, our journey here comes to an end. This house has so many happy memories, so much love, so much of so much, I just don't have the words to express how much this house and its journey has meant to us. Every little corner I look at, every VJ on the wall, every piece of fretwork, every cornice, every little tile, power point and light switch, I look at it all and remember, all that love, so, so much love.

So now our much loved up home is for sale, it is sad and it is sweet at the same time. Sad that our journey here is done, but sweet that someone else can now love our home just as much as we have. I am bound to shed many a tear. As one journey ends, another is just beginning...
