Rubys new two minute "do".

Oh I forgot to show you the end results of Miss Rubys haircut which resulted in two pink ribbons and a doggie mohawk. The poor muffin, it lasted all of two minutes!!

On the plus side, her coat is now thinned out and ready for the warmer weather. Its tough being a Canadian doggie in the hot queensland sunshine, especially when you have to wear pink bows and all...

letterpress notelets now in store!

We are so pleased to announce today that we have launched a range of 14 notelet designs into our online shop!

Our letterpress notelets have been printed on 100% tree free & chlorine free cotton heavyweight 300gsm paper. These papers are made from reclaimed cotton fibres from the textile industry and are beautifully thick, lush and perfect for letterpress. They are single sided cards with a recycled kraft envelope packaged inside a biodegradable bag with information sticker, and come packaged as a boxed set of six cards.

Each notelet pack has been printed as a limited run with only a few boxes of each design are available. Each card measures 10cm x 13.6cm.

ryan and alice save the dates

Above is a beautifully fun save the date card we produced for Ryan and Alice who are Australians based on Singapore. Their wedding will be located at Palm Beach, Sydney and their theme will be tropical beach club.

Inspired by this gorgeous location we designed a Florence Broadhurst inspired shell pattern which feels just delightful printed. Coupled with simple contemporary typography and printed in a gorgeous banana leaf green we simply loved letterpressing this design!

beautiful beautiful magnolias

While I was in Sydney I was lucky enough to catch the tail end of my mums gorgeous magnolias. She has a great number of them scattered throughout their property and they would have to be one of my most favourite flowers ever.

Right now I have this crazy dream to live on 20 acres, with a scattering of cute black and white cows and a long winding crush gravel driveway (to be exact) which is lined with magnolias the whole way. Like mother like daughter I think... they are simply beautiful.

adventures in young blood land.

Ahh my lovelies, I must apologise, it has been a few busy days getting back into the swing of the studio after our little adventure down to Sydney for the Young Blood Designers Markets, and oh my, what a crazy few days it was.

Young Blood was a beautiful collection of 35 of Austalias leading emerging designers, coupled with the big old Turbine hall of the Powerhouse museum. But fill the space with several thousand eager buyers = utter chaos.

Oh dear, you poor possums who tried to visit us, we are so so so thankful for your efforts. Some of you we got to meet, others got sent home when the overcrowding became too crazy. But we so appreciate your efforts and wish we had got to meet you all. Your support of our little boutique is so very appreciated.

Amongst all the crowdedness this poor wee photo was all I managed to snap... but if you look close, you'll see some new ranges which will be launching in the next month or so!

And finally a very big thankyou to my sweet Mum who came and helped, where would I be without such a beautiful Mother??

Tomorrow we are headed down to Sydney to attend the Young Blood Designers Market which will be held on Friday night and Saturday day.

Young Blood: Designers Market showcases original design, from fashion to furniture, jewellery, graphic, product, landscape and lighting design and gives visitors the opportunity to meet the makers and talk about their work, in a vibrant market atmosphere.

We will be showing off our new range of yet to be launched limited edition prints and stationery. Please do pop by and say hello! anna & andrew wedding stationery

We have recently completed a wedding set for the super cute Anna & her husband to be Andrew. Inspired by their wedding theme of vintage romance and garden elegance we designed a very simple yet strikingly beautiful invitation.

Their reception is going to take place in the gardens of a beautifully manicured private residence, so we wanted to represent this casual yet elegant venue through the use of the botanical graphic. As their wedding is a fusion of two families this floral illustration also represents their growth and the journeys they will share together.

Printed on ivory paper in a very soft ice pink ink, coupled with a dark botanical brown, the colour combination was beautifully sweet and understated. We are so glad that they loved their invitations as much we did... and we were so touched to receive the sweetest little note from them...

Eagerly awaiting my wedding set,

I opened the box and my dreams were met

Invitations were perfect, just as I’d dreamed,

back in the studio

We are back in the studio after a busy little trip to Melbourne. We picked up some new stockists, ate a mountain of chinatown goodness, and even managed to catch up on a little sleep!

We are back in the studio today and printing like crazy for the Young Blood Designers Market we will be attending, which is part of Sydney Design next week. We hope to maybe meet some of you there.
