It has been all a little quiet from us around here lately due to the most exciting development in our business thus far... Finally our very own gorgeous website! Oh my, I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting for this day to come, and we are tickled pink to now have our site up live.
We are so so so very thankful, appreciative and secretly in love with the amazing Jen from PixelPalace. She offered the most amazing boutique service and we were so impressed by her dedication and excitement for this project. Thankyou Jen, you are amazing, you were able to see our vision and worked tirelessly to get this done for us. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.
Also another project that has been keeping me super busy is that tomorrow morning I am flying down to Melbourne to assist the delightfully gorgeous Jane from Girls Made This at the LifeInStyle tradeshow. We will be testing the market with some new products, and most of all giving a huge helping hand at the Girls Made This site. Please do stop by and say hello if your attending the trade show.
We will be back in the studio from the 5th of August, but in the meantime, please do explore our new website and let us know what you think!
We have recently completed a very simple, but oh so lovely wedding set for Elizabeth & Athol. Printed in the most gorgeous duck egg blue, its strikingly classic against our pure white cotton rag papers. The illustration was inspired by damask patterns and is coupled with vintage typography for a simple, yet classic and regal combination.

A very sweet surprise turned up at our studio yesterday. A gorgeously packed box of honey from the delightful Ilana whose wedding we featured here and here. As wedding favours they gave Ilanas Dads honey from North Queensland, and we were so lucky to receive two of these gorgeous favours in the mail yesterday. Oh so gorgeously packaged and oh so beautifully sweet too!

Remember last week when we pulled Herbie out of retirement and into action? His first job was a gorgeous wedding set for the lovely Annie & Julian for their springtime vineyard wedding in the Hunter Valley. Featuring an invitation, accommodation & activities card and a custom designed map of the Hunter Valley, it all sits nicely inside a lined envelope with a reply card and envelope to suit as well. Such a lovely package to receive in the mail.
What a gorgeous job Herbie did, how proud we are of our not so little new press!

While little Ruby Tuesday has been overseeing the studios production we have been madly printing for our adorable wedding couples as well as working on our very impending deadline for our new soon to be launched range.
After all your lovely comments about our last sneak peak, I thought I would share another one with you above. Also I must give an enormous thankyou to my super sweet delightful husband who has been printing like crazy for us trying to meet our deadlines. His stamina to print and pump charlie with his leg, feed the press one sheet at a time and tackle the mountain of printing problems which always arise for hours on end is incredible. Thankyou sugar, you certainly are a wonder printing man.

Its a tough life being a studio dog.
6.30am Wake up with hope that its a 7km run day with her daddy. Observe dads outfit, if yellow sports top proceed with mad excitement to the leash, if not resume morning sleep.
8.00 - 11am all systems go for courier alert system, reclaim sunny spot by front door, await deliveries, vocal cords prepped.
11am - 12pm Post courier visits nap. Its exhausting being that alert for so long.
12pm Head down to the studio and check out the days printing.
12.30pm Get annoyed by the clunking of the presses disrupting my sleep, climb up the stairs to my sunny spot where I can view the days proceedings in peace and quiet.
1pm-6pm Afternoon nap, occasional one eye open to oversee the studios progress, satisfied its time to catch up on some lost sleep.
6pm-7pm Depart the studio, reclaim position in by kitchen fridge, await meal delivery.
8pm Extreme excitement, run in circles, lightening fast movement speed as dinner is served.
8.30pm Exhausted after a big days printing head to bed for the night, Its a tough job being a letterpress dog.

We recently printed save the date cards for the adorable Sara & Grant who are having a Byron Bay wedding in October 2010. Printed in a classic black on ivory cotton stocks, the simple typography of a sans serif combined with a playful ink script is such a gorgeous combination. We also custom designed a map to show guests the location of the ceremony and reception as they will be held in different towns. The combination of gorgeous typography and alot of negative space (areas of no ink) resulted in a beautiful tactile impression. How we love a crisp black and white print!!

Last weekend I headed down to Sydney for a few days, to catch my breath, get some sleep and visit some lovely family members. Early one morning I took myself on a little garden stroll of my mums garden as I do each visit. Even in the dark of chilly winter the garden is starting to burst into life once again, a beautiful sign that spring really cant be that far away.
The early roses are sneaking their way into the garden, the jonquils are out in a fashion, and my parents gorgeous collection of magnolias are bursting with buds and about to release their glory. All the while a scattering of Autumn leaves are still holding on, a beautiful juxtaposition between the seasons really.

Do you remember the gorgeous Kristie and Ken from their save the dates produced earlier this year? Over the last couple of days we have completed their wedding stationery set and continued with their gorgeous charcoal orchid theme.
With a invitation, map, reply card and reply envelope, Kristie will be packaging the whole collection into a sweet little white box and hand delivering each and every invitation - just like the good old days, we love it!
